Disclosure Policy

Here are the guidelines I operate under:

The Federal Trade Commission requires that I disclose any relationship I have between a product manufacturer or service provider when I write about a product or service. Therefore, there may be times when I am compensated. The most common ways I get paid on this site include, but are not limited to:

• When a visitor clicks on a link in an article, a feed, or an ad anywhere on the site.
• When I write a review for a product or service.

As a result, please assume that anything I do may potentially be biased.

These are good rules and practices in today’s digital world. It’s important for you as a consumer to understand the relationship between a person reviewing the product and the manufacturer or service provider. If you don’t see a disclosure policy on a website, that reviewer may be violating the law or at the very least the Code of Ethics.
